Dark red in colour with a fresh vibrant aroma of dark fruits which follows through on the palate along with an almost mineral character, a youthful wine with good extract and great balance, offering superb "drinkability". Ready to drink now, after a meal on its own or with soft cheeses.
Ruby Dum:
Artist Regina Pessoa was inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and created three bottles; the Rabbit Dry White Port and also a Douro duo in honour of Tweedledum and Tweedledee, called Ruby Dum and Tawny Dee.
Ruby Dum – Aged in large wooden vats at Niepoort’s lodges in Gaia, it was bottled with an average age of three years, maintaining its strong fruit character. Displaying notes of red cherries and ripe plums alongside a breezy freshness, this is a youthful modern Port that’s ranks very high on the drinkability scale.
